No 2. is on the corner of Cogan Terrace. Its garage is on Senghennydd Road; the ‘main drag’ of Cathays, the principle student area for Cardiff University. Building owner Joe Miles, had wondered for several years what could be done with the empty garage. A basement-flat was considered but never came to fruition.
Joe’s lettings agents, Pinnacle, had its office on Fanny Street, a couple of hundred yards further out of town. It was decided to move the lettings business to the busier street; Senghennydd Road.
The rear part of the existing building was retained, the new multi-window lettings officefrontage was built on new foundations in place of the old structure.
The conversion was finished in 2021, which allowed a further scheme to be developed for the former lettings office, Fanny Street.
